Up-close and Personal with 5 Rock Ranch
These were my three favorite "close" ups from the 5 Rock Ranch. I have some more scenic images that need a little editing, but these were just ready to post! I think these images also show the different aspects to 5RR. The Nurturing side, with Scott and his grandson, the time to revel in God's detail of glory-with the termite log, and then the laughter with well.....the nose! It made me smile.....and back away quickly as I thought the horse might eat my camera! (Short lens....)

The first photo looks kind of candid, so maybe you could fix that my going B&W. Other than that I love the other two shots. The way to edited the horse shot look cool. It really fits the shot. I like the greens in the log shot, and the shadows are great. I don't know why you too that shot, but it looks cool.
the second picture is cool because i can't tell exactly what it is...it sort of looks upside down to me. i mean normally pictures of trees and stuff are beyond boring, but this one isn't.
cool idea on the perspective of the horse. i just wish we had a slightly different view of it. slightly. maybe if you had moved to the left a little more. or something...
The horse photo is hillarious...It's almost hard to look at as the viewpoint has distorted the perspective so much his nose looks HUGE!...it's a fun photo all the same. I love the way you captured Scott and his grandson...beautiful. I wish I could give you some ways to improve, but I think given the subject matter and the project theme you'd done well with the images you chose. Looking forward to seeing the one's you've edited so far!
i love the eyes in the third picture. its interesting that so much of the picture is out of focus. i'm not quite sure about that.... the second picture has wonderful texture but the orientation is a little confusing. is it sideways?
After watching the Five Rock Ranch video in class, the first photo in this set really stands out. It definitely captures the heart of what they stand for out there. I like the fact that there are very little distractions in the photo. It's very simple.
